Speculation on the Singularity
Quantum computing and artificial intelligence are destined to intertwine. Once a machine can account for uncertainty we will be able to calculate intangibles that transcend the average human mind.
Some day, somehow machines may be able to leverage entanglement to allow us to communicate with our future selves, allowing consciousness to transcend the 3rd dimension. What would your life be like if...

Morning Pages
I started morning pages yesterday but didn’t do them today. It’s not morning anymore but I am inclined to write anyhow, though probably not three pages worth.
Work has been super hectic lately. On top of losing our developer, our designer is significantly reducing her hours to the extent that she wants us to find someone to pick up the slack. The hiring process has not been going...

For better or worse, it’s pretty great to see something this crisp in quality. From Pascal Blais:
A movie trailer project inspired by the graphic novel “The INCAL”, from...

Cyborg Societies & Surveillance →
“Under the auspices of a lowly servomechanism coupled into an informational loop, we glimpse the earliest stirrings of the Golem that matters to us today, in the age of data-mining and neuromarketing. And this Golem is ourselves, the cyborg populations of the computerized democracies.
Our movements, our speech, our emotions and even our dreams have become the informational message that is...

Unblocked
In spite of the fact that two trucks in a row deliberately tried to blind me with their high-beams while I was on my bicycle last night, Easthampton is a nice place to live. Not just because of the juxtaposed beauty of the natural landscape with it’s empty factory buildings jutting out like broken teeth, nor the bike path to Northampton that makes commuting sustainable. I love the...
