A robot has assembled itself from the uprooted riches of the earth whose circuits are a pastiche of cement and human flesh and whose body reaches around the world, connecting in banks and boardrooms.
Do no mistake this automaton for having an intelligence; the human minds that endeavor to guide the machine do not contribute to a conscience. This entity knows only hunger, and it eats greedily.
